You know what’s truly magical? Becoming the voice of a fairy godmother for this incredible collaboration between Sephora and dae. Recording these lines in my home studio was such a delight – bringing that sparkle of enchantment to their social campaign for the Fairy Duster Dry Shampoo launch.

Behind the Magic

It’s not every day you get to channel your inner fairy godmother! Working with these amazing brands to create something playful and enchanting was absolutely wonderful. Their brief challenged us to encapsulate the magical, transformative feeling that both Sephora and dae are known for, but with a modern twist.

I carefully crafted every word to capture the essence of this enchanting product in my cozy home studio (which temporarily transformed into a fairy godmother’s chamber). In fact, the goal was to make everyone who watched the campaign feel like they were about to experience their own magical hair transformation.

The best part? Seeing how the final campaign came together, featuring the lovely Amber Fillerup Clark, dae’s founder. Lines were recorded remotely from my studio on the other side of the world. Watching them come to life in the final production afterward is pure magic every time.

The Voice Behind the Wand

Creating the perfect fairy godmother voice meant finding the sweet spot between whimsical and authentic. Specifically, we wanted viewers to feel like they were being guided by a trusted friend who just happens to have magical hair-transforming powers. Ultimately, the result was a voice that balanced playfulness with warmth – exactly what you’d expect from your personal fairy godmother.

A Sprinkle of Joy

Obviously projects like these remind me why I love voice acting! There’s something special about being part of a campaign that brings a little magic into people’s everyday routines. Generally, I don’t get to see my work in the wild. So, if it’s through a social media post or a product launch, seeing audiences engage with these moments of enchantment are what make my job truly rewarding.

And just like any good fairy godmother, I’m always ready for the next magical adventure! After all, there’s nothing quite like sprinkling a bit of vocal sparkle onto a brand’s story!
